Excavate
Relocate and On-site treatment
IIf time is of the essence, then we can excavate the infestation for treatment later – effectively quarantining within the site boundary itself. The barrier would prevent further contamination, leaving the main site available for continued development. The infestation would be treated using chemical application at a later, more convenient time.
on-site burial
In a bit of a rush? We can excavate the infestation and then bury the contaminated soil in a heat sealed membrane capsule. Sounds rather space-age doesn’t it?
The site must not be disturbed after excavation and re-burial and clearly marked on all site plans. The Environment Agency need to be advised that this process has taken place and plans approved with them. It’s important that every last bit of Japanese Knotweed is removed as a piece the size of your finger nail can regrow.
